Selection criteria for quick connectors
Nov 09, 2022
1. The type and temperature of the fluid (please select the body material and the quick connector of the sealing material suitable for the type and temperature of the fluid)
Appropriate body materials and seal materials vary depending on the fluid. For example, the quick connector is air. It is recommended to make steel, and if it is water, choose brass or stainless steel.
2. The pressure of the liquid (please select a quick connector suitable for the pressure resistance of the fluid pressure)
The pressure of the fluid is also the key to the selection of quick connectors. The quick joints for oil pressure are serialized between 5.0Mpa (51kgf/cm²)-68.6Mpa (700kgf/cm²), and the structure of the quick joints is also different according to the pressure resistance characteristics.
3. The structure of the automatic switch valve (please select a quick connector with a valve structure suitable for piping purposes)
For the structure of the valve, there are two-way switch type, one-way switch type and two-way open type. Because when separating, except for the two-way switch type, fluid flows out of the piping. So please pay attention.
4. The use environment of the quick connector (please select the quick connector with the structure and material suitable for the use environment)
Consider the type, body material, and sealing material of the quick connector selected in combination with the humidity conditions of the use environment, dust conditions, and the use environment that is prone to corrosion.
5. Confirm that the selected quick connector connection thread should be consistent
In the process of using different brands of products, it is best to use the female and male plugs of the same brand together. If cross-use is necessary, it is best to consult the technical personnel of the product supplier before use, and then use it after confirmation.
6. The shape and size of the installation
Please determine the type and material of the quick connector, and specify the assembly shape and size corresponding to the piping characteristics. Note that dimensions are relative to fluid flow.
